In 2024, Mutual of Omaha and Wellcare launched a series of co-branded Medicare Advantage PPO (MAPD) plans across six markets. While this collaboration represented a strong push into the MAPD space, the two companies have since reevaluated their strategic alignment.

What’s Changing?
After careful consideration of long-term goals and market positioning, Mutual of Omaha and Wellcare have decided to discontinue their co-branded MAPD relationship. This change is effective moving forward.

What This Means for Clients
For members currently enrolled in the co-branded plans, there is no change to their benefits, plan coverage, or service. Wellcare will continue to administer these plans, and all plan-related questions should now be directed to your Wellcare representative.

Mutual of Omaha’s Focus Moving Forward
While Mutual of Omaha is stepping back from the MAPD space at this time, they remain fully committed to supporting senior health with a strong product lineup, including:

  • Medicare Supplement Plans

  • Dental Plans

  • New Hospital Indemnity Product (launching later this year)

These products continue to offer valuable solutions for seniors and are backed by the strength and reputation of the Mutual of Omaha brand.
