The Cost-of-Care Study Results Are In
Every year, Mutual of Omaha conducts a cost-of-care study in all 50 states, and the results are in. The cost of services continues to rise and the average cost for a home health aide is over $70,000 a year.
They've updated their cost-of-care tools to reflect the changes in price and to help producers guide the conversation about how clients intend to pay for their long-term care.
Resources for Long-Term Care Sales:
- Cost-of-Care Sales Ideas - Share the Cost-of-Care Overview and Home Health Care Sales Idea with producers to equip them for powerful conversations with clients, including links to the materials that can be used.
- Cost-of-Care Calculator - See the current cost of LTC services by state and view what those costs might be 5, 10 or 20 years down the road.
- Cost-of-Care Brochure - Use this brochure to help your clients understand the current cost of LTC services in their state.

Long-term care insurance offers financial protection against the high costs of long-term care services. It helps policyholders cover expenses related to nursing homes, assisted living facilities, in-home care, and other long-term care options. By having this insurance, individuals can safeguard their savings and assets from being depleted by long-term care costs.

Take a Fresh Look at Our Dental Plans
Here's some news that'll put a smile on your face — new enhancements to Mutual of Omaha's dental insurance plans are right around the corner. In fact, you can sell plans with the new enhancements on July 14.
If you haven't checked out our dental plans in a while, we're confident you'll like what you see. The enhancements will have your clients grinning from ear to ear, too.
What's New with Our Dental Plans?
No Waiting Period
That's right. Your clients can use their coverage for cleanings, basic services and major services once the policy is approved.
Immediate Coverage for Major Services
Major dental services, such as crowns, dentures or surgical extractions can be costly. Mutual's dental coverage pays 20% for major services on day one then 50% after year one.
More Maximum Benefit Options
To help meet the needs of clients who might need a lot of dental work, we've added $3,000 and $5,000 annual maximum benefit amounts. The standard $1,500 annual maximum benefit is still available.
These enhancements won't be available in all states right away — we will continue to expand enhanced dental benefits in additional states as soon as possible.

We've Got Big News!
The dental e-App is available, along with the Medicare supplement e-App, in the new e-App storefront. Having both e-Apps in one place makes it easy to cross-sell the two solutions and saves you time.
