2026 Marketplace Training Now Live for Returning ACA Agents

Plan Year 2026 Marketplace registration and training is officially live! If you were registered for Plan Year 2025, you can now complete your training and get ready to assist Marketplace consumers for another enrollment year.

The best part? As a returning agent or broker, you’re eligible for the shorter training — which can be finished in as little as 60 minutes.

Why You Should Complete Training Early

Marketplace certification is required each year to help clients with ACA health plans. By completing your training early, you’ll:

Avoid last-minute delays before Open Enrollment
Stay compliant with CMS rules and requirements
Gain access to important tools like Help On Demand
Be ready to serve clients confidently for Plan Year 2026

Step-by-Step Registration Process

Here’s what you’ll need to do to complete your 2026 registration:

Log in to the CMS Enterprise Portal
Update your agent/broker profile in the Marketplace Learning Management System (MLMS)
Complete your annual Marketplace training (shortened version for returning agents)
Read and accept the applicable Marketplace Agreement(s)
Print your 2026 Registration Completion Certificate
Confirm your registration on the official Registration Completion List

Throughout the registration process, you can use the Marketplace Registration Tracker to track your progress.

Training Options

You can complete your 2026 training in two ways:

MLMS (via CMS) — the standard training platform
CMS-approved vendors — HealthSherpa or INSXCloud (note: you must return to MLMS to complete your registration if you use a vendor)

📌 Additional Options:

SHOP Training: The Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) agreement and optional training are also available.
Spanish Training: Marketplace training in Spanish will be available later this year.

Don’t Forget Help On Demand

Once you complete your Marketplace registration, you’ll be eligible for Help On Demand, CMS’s real-time consumer referral system.

You can access this training one business day after completing your certification.
If you actively used Help On Demand in prior years, you don’t need to retake the training—just maintain your Marketplace certification.
Agents who failed to consistently accept referrals may be required to retake the Help On Demand course.
