  • Provides a lifetime guaranteed death benefit that passes to loved ones income tax-free and possibly outside of probate(5)
  • May immediately provide a much larger legacy for heirs
  • Guarantees that after the fifth policy year the cash surrender value will never be less than the initial premium (assuming no prior loans, withdrawals, or accelerated benefit payments have been taken)
  • Utilizes simplified underwriting based on the Net Amount at Risk
  • Access to up to 80% of the death benefit (less any loans) in the event of permanent nursing home confinement or a qualifying terminal illness(6)
  • Allows for policy loans after the first policy year, or earlier in some states, and withdrawals after five years(7)
  • Offers point-of-sale teleunderwriting
  • No NAIC illustration required

Quality 25

(1) Americo Life, Inc. is a holding company and is not responsible for the financial condition or contractual obligations of its affiliate insurance companies.
(2) “Admitted Assets, Top Life Writers-2008,” A.M. Best Co., as of July 2008.
(3) Information is as of year-end 2008 on a consolidated basis for Americo Financial Life and Annuity Insurance Company and the other life insurance subsidiaries of Americo Life, Inc., unless otherwise indicated. Information is prepared on the basis of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
(4) Benefits guaranteed as long as all minimum required premiums are paid as scheduled.
(5) The policy’s guaranteed minimum death benefit is equal to the initial specified amount as defined in the policy and is guaranteed for the lifetime of the insured, assuming no loans, withdrawals, or accelerations of death benefit are taken.
(6) Accelerated Benefit Payment Rider (Rider Series 2149). Benefits may vary by state and will not be available in all states. Certain limitations and exclusions apply. The permanent nursing home benefit is payable after a 90-day elimination period from the time confinement begins. Because accelerated benefit payments are treated as liens against the policy, interest will apply and will gradually decrease the proceeds payable. Please see the Accelerated Benefit Payment Rider section in Agent Guide for more information.
(7) Policy loans and withdrawals will impact policy performance and the ability to take future distributions. Loans repaid according to the terms of the policy will restore the values. Any gain may be subject to taxes and IRS early distribution penalties if taken prior to age 59½.
